Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş. was established in Yalova, Turkey, in 1968 to meet the country’s acrylic fiber needs and started production in 1971 with an initial capacity of 5,000 tons per year.
Over the years, through its investments and innovations, Aksa has become the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber. Today, it is a global giant with nearly 300 customers in more than 50 countries across five continents. Aksa, employing approximately 1,500 staff, operates on a 595,000 square meter area with a capacity of 330,000 tons per year, making it the largest in the world and the only acrylic fiber producer in Turkey.
In addition to its production success, Aksa is a leader in its sector with its management systems, environmental practices, and social responsibility projects. Thanks to its wide product range, Aksa supplies textile and technical textile raw materials to a variety of areas, from carpets to upholstery, sweaters to socks, yarn to hand knitting, and from velvet to rugs, blankets, awnings, and industrial filters.
