Born in Istanbul in 1953, Ahmet Cemal Dördüncü graduated from Çukurova University, Faculty of Business Administration, and pursued postgraduate studies at the Universities of Mannheim and Hannover.
He began his professional career at Claas OHG in Germany and, between 1984 and 1987, continued at Mercedes Benz A.Ş. in Turkey. In 1987, he joined the Sabancı Group, where he held several senior management positions at Kordsa A.Ş. until 1998. Subsequently, he took on leadership roles at the Group’s DUSA company, serving as General Manager and later President of DUSA South America, followed by DUSA North America. In 2004, Dördüncü was appointed Head of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Sabancı Holding, and from 2005 to 2010, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Sabancı Holding.
Between 2013 and 2022, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Akkök Holding. He currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Akkök Holding.
Ahmet C. Dördüncü is also Chairman of the Board of UN Global Compact Turkey and serves as a Board Member of International Paper Co., Aras Kargo, Zorlu Holding and Anadolu Group.
