H. Çağatay Özdoğru was born in Istanbul in 1966. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.

Mr. Özdoğru began his career in the technology and telecommunications sector. He served as Executive Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at Global One, a France Telecom Group company, before joining Sabancı Holding as President of Information and Telecommunications Investments.

He joined ESAS in 2005 as a Member of the Executive Committee and has served as Group CEO since 2010. In this role, he is responsible for the Group’s overall investment strategy and operations across real estate, private equity, asset management, venture capital, and social investment activities. He has played a leading role in establishing and expanding ESAS’s private equity platform in Türkiye and internationally, overseeing investments and successful exits in numerous portfolio companies, including UN Ro-Ro, Mars Cinema Group, Mars Athletic Club, and Peyman.

In addition to his role as Board Member and Group CEO of ESAS, Mr. Özdoğru serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, including ESAS Real Estate and Pegasus Airlines. Since 2025, he has also served as Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Koç University–ESAS Centre for Alternative Investments and as a Board Member of the Turkish Basketball Federation.

Previously, Mr. Özdoğru served as Chairman of the DEİK Türkiye–France Business Council, Board Member of TÜSİAD, Chairman of the Türkiye–Sweden and Türkiye–Croatia Business Councils, and Board Member of both the Turkish Informatics Foundation (TBV) and TÜBİSAD. In 2016, he received the Hall of Fame Award from George Washington University.
